Another form of the time and work problems is the pipes and cistern problems, wherein the a pipe fills up a bucket or a well and another pipe or a hole removes water from the same well / bucket. Remember that in such a case, the bucket will get filled at the net rate (rate of addition less the rate of removal). They can be solved in similar fashion as a normal time and work question.
