As we know in AP the difference between consecutive terms is same. Hence, AP is of the form
a, a+d, a+2d, a+3d and so on. Notice that if we subtract any term from the successive term, we get d as the difference. Is 3,6,9,12,15 in AP??

An arithmetic progression is a sequence of numbers such that the difference of any two successive members of the sequence is a constant. Arithmetic progressions are formed by adding a number to the previous number in a sequence. Remember that this number which is added can be a negative number as well.
